Take a leisurely stroll on the Bassett Trace Nature Trail and learn about Virginia's wildlife and native habitats. Colonial Williamsburg Master Naturalist volunteers will discuss flora and fauna seen along the trail and the importance of conservation. The walk, which begins at the trail's head by the Griffin Parking lot, is about a half-mile round trip. Afterward, hikers may walk the 1.4-mile trail, which ends at the Green Course Clubhouse. If you like nature and enjoy being outdoors, this walk is for you! There is rough terrain and bugs, so please wear appropriate shoes and insect repellant. Birders may want to bring binoculars.
This tour meets at the trailhead located in the parking lot of the Gold Wing of the Griffin Hotel.
Weather permitting. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please plan to arrive early as space is limited for this program.
